There is no camera that can make a picture.

No lens, no lights can make a picture.

Forget about different cameras and accessories, just use what you’ve got.

Only your eyes can make a picture.

have you seen ...

thanks, Hilary!

  2. missing = the person who wears this well-worn pair of shoes?

  3. The last time I was in NYC, I came home with 12 photos of abandoned shoes in one form or another.
For me, they are right up there with newspapers in doorways, and "broken" houses.
    Love them.
    This is a great shot!

  4. LOL! Great catch! The only thing I can recall that is similar is when we found a pair of men's shoes and a silk tie left in a desk here in the office that had been occupied by an intern from Brazil. They had the Bergdorf label. I guess he left in a hurry!

  6. Reminds me of the "Beverly Hillbillies" theme song closing verse: "Kick y' shoes off...y'all come back now, heah?"

  9. Congratulation on being named POTW.

Someone must be scratching their head, wondering where they are.

  10. Wonder what the story behind the empty shoes is? Great shot.
